Winter weather is here~Time to review school closing procedures
Generally speaking, District 15 schools will remain open except for instances of extremely inclement weather.
If a snow day is called, that decision will be made by 5am. Shortly afterward, an announcement will be posted on the homepage of the District's Web site, sent to radio and TV stations, and made via D15 E-news e-mails and SchoolMessenger emergency notification system phone calls. A recorded message will also be available at the District's main number, 847-963-3000.
These announcements will only be made if classes are canceled. Otherwise, the day will proceed as usual. |

Daily Announcement Podcasts
We have started to podcast our WRS UpClose and UpDate broadcasts. As soon as a broadcast finishes one of the anchors re-reads the entire script in the Studio's Control Room while being digitally video recorded with one camera. It's a simple effort but has a sort of newsy feel. Sundling is the first school in our district to podcast both the morning and afternoon broadcasts and next week we will really take things to another level! The link for the podcasts is:

(Bookmark this link to your Favorite Places!)
WRS UpClose podcasts will be posted by 9:00 each morning. WRS UpDate podcast will be posted by 2:00 each afternoon. The Daily Herald is planning to do a big story on the kids' effort within the next couple of weeks. We are breaking new ground!

Drop Off and Pick Up Safety
The beginning and end of the school day are the most hectic times at any junior high. Sundling is no different. In order to
- Keep everyone safe
- Move everyone efficiently
we ask parents to NOT drop children off in the main parking lot during these busy times. Please use the circle drive or the strip along Smith Street if you are dropping off or picking up students.
